Quadratic funding utilizes the intelligence of the crowd to distribute large pools of resources (a matching pool) to projects. Who can Donate

• Anyone can donate that has a web3 wallet and bridges ETH to Arbitrum (instructions below)
• Your donation counts towards allocating matching funds to grantees through the quadratic funding mechanisms if your wallet has been used in the past (aka you’re less likely a robot).
• Don’t have a Web3 wallet or not sure how to bridge? Email or message us (info above).

How to Donate

1. Choose the Web3 wallet you want to use (ideally one that has been used before)
2. Make sure you have ETH available and bridge your donation amount to Arbitrum
3. Visit our donation page at go.opencivics.co/round02 and select the projects for donation
4. Checkout your cart and approve the transaction with your Web3 Wallet.

Setting Up Your Web3 Wallet

MetaMask is a browser plugin that works for Brave, Firefox, Chrome, Edge, and Opera Browsers. You can think of it as your single sign-on for your web3 wallet and decentralized identity. If you don’t have one of those browsers installed, start by installing the browser of your choice and then head over to metamask.io and select Download.

Install the browser plugin and pin it to your browser’s navigation bar by clicking on the browser extension button and the pin icon next to the MetaMask icon.

Agree to the terms of service and select “Create a new wallet.” You can choose whether or not you’d like to send your usage data to MetaMask, but we like to be extra sure about our privacy so we usually say ‘no.’

Create a MetaMask password and save it to your preferred password manager (or write it down). MetaMask can’t recover this password for you so it’s very important to keep track of it well.

Next, you’ll need to secure your wallet’s Secret Recovery Phrase. This is 12 word pneumonic phrase that is the private key to your wallet itself. Anyone with this Secret Recovery Phrase will be able to access all of your funds and digital identity so you’ll want to
